The origins of the Branchview Series

It was late 2017, and I was growing tired of working on other people’s projects. I began searching for fresh ideas for a series that I could pitch to the networks. Horror and SyFi were popular genres at the time, so I decided to give that a try. I wanted to put forward something different, and outside of the norm of what was being put out during that time period. Most of the stories dealt with evil creatures, and beings slicing and dicing their way through countless innocent victims for no apparent purpose. The story lines were quite lame, and only appealed to a slim audience.

I had been a longtime fan of the Dark Shadows Series that ran from the late 60’s into the early 70’s, and wanted to craft something similar that would follow a wealthy family’s struggle with witches, and pesky spirits who refused to vacate the old seaside mansion that they inhabited. As I embarked on the project, it took on a life of its own. I was always intrigued by the characters of Greek Mythology, and imagined how it would be if some of the immortal characters really existed, and walked among us today. I also drew inspiration from The Ancient Aliens Series, Stories of the Christian Bible, and my fascination toward the possibilities of life beyond this world. Throw in the elements of time travel, as well as the supernatural, and I suddenly created a monster that grew into something that was different than anything out there.

In no time, I had written three seasons before deciding to transform it into a novel series. It grew into a classic story of good vs. evil. After the first book, and considering the present affair of the world, I decided to make the principal villain of the story The Secret Elite Societies, and Globalists who are the evil puppet masters that hold all financial and political control. The heroes of the story, Steven and Loraine Spencer graduate from being simple ghost chasers to aiding the immortal gods, the Branch family, and their allies in the fight to save America from Globalist control. Several side stories were added along the way to add some spice and humor to the story line. What are your favorite moments of The Branchview Series so far?
