22nd Annual Prescott Gem & Mineral Show

The 22nd Annual Prescott Gem & Mineral Show returns this year as a centerpiece of the region’s vibrant mineral and lapidary community. Held July 31 through August 2, 2026, at the Findlay Toyota Center, 3201 N. Main Street, Prescott Valley, Arizona, the event offers a unique opportunity for collectors, hobbyists, and families to explore an astonishing variety of gemstones, fossils, and geological specimens. Promoters can also submit an event to Bridge.

Over two decades strong, the show—organized by the nonprofit Prescott Gem & Mineral Club—has grown into the largest indoor gem and mineral exhibition in Northern Arizona. Visitors encounter dazzling polished gems, raw mineral displays, educational programming, hands-on demonstrations, and a lively marketplace under one roof. More local stories live on the Bridge blog.

Explore a World of Gems and Minerals Visitors can wander through rows of exhibit tables showcasing specimens from around the globe and the Southwest. Highlights typically include:

  • Raw mineral formations in every color and crystal structure
  • Cut and polished gemstones ideal for jewelry or display
  • Fossil specimens that spark curiosity in paleontology
  • Cabochons, beads, slabs, crystals, meteorites, and fine jewelry

Each display is curated by experienced collectors and local dealers, offering insights into formation processes, regional geology, and best practices for care and display. More than 75 vendors participate, ensuring a diverse selection.

Educational Opportunities Learning takes center stage with interactive demonstrations and presentations tailored to all ages and experience levels. Attendees can engage with:

  • Live demonstrations of rock cutting, polishing, and lapidary arts
  • Geode cutting and gold panning experiences
  • Informal sessions on identifying minerals and field practices
  • The signature fluorescent mineral exhibit, an immersive darkened display using ultraviolet lighting and lasers that reveal minerals glowing in striking neon hues

Whether a seasoned rockhound or a family seeking a science-focused outing, the show’s hands-on atmosphere invites everyone to deepen appreciation for Earth’s hidden treasures. The Prescott Gem & Mineral Club also supports ongoing education through scholarships at Yavapai College in lapidary, jewelry, and geology programs.

Marketplace Highlights The vendor hall functions as a bustling marketplace where collectors and artisans gather to buy, sell, and trade. Shoppers will find:

  • Unique jewelry pieces featuring locally sourced and imported stones
  • Bulk mineral specimens suitable for educational kits or personal collections
  • Specialty tools and equipment for gem cutting and polishing
  • Resource tables offering books, field guides, and identification tools

Community and Family Activities Beyond displays and sales, the Prescott Gem & Mineral Show fosters community through family-friendly activities. Features include:

  • Children’s educational zones with supervised activities such as face painting, interactive displays, and the popular spinning wheel

These elements reinforce the show’s mission to celebrate mineral sciences, support community organizations, and inspire the next generation of geologists and collectors.
