On October 24, 2026, the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center in Prescott will resonate with music and purpose as Lisa Mitts Music and Destiny House Restoration Center host the 2026 Evening of Destiny benefit concert. More local sound lives on Prescott music. Now in its 14th year nationally and sixth in Arizona’s Quad Cities region, this event harnesses the power of song and community to shine a light on sex trafficking—one of the fastest-growing crimes worldwide and a crisis touching families right here at home. Related advocacy coverage includes Shamere McKenzie at the Richmond summit.
A Spotlight on a Global Crisis
Sex trafficking affects millions, transcending borders and communities. According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, since 2007 it has identified over 112,000 cases involving more than 218,000 victims in the U.S. In 2024 alone, the Hotline reported nearly 12,000 situations and over 21,000 victims.
In Arizona’s Quad Cities—Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey–Humboldt—survivors often encounter barriers to recovery and reintegration. Evening of Destiny raises awareness of these local challenges, reminding attendees that community action can influence policies, services, and public perception.
