Haystack fills children’s mind with wonder as he interacts with Marshal Spur and the Outrider Gang, to the mild minored young steed who brings Adam to new levels of learning in his life. “In any question of wisdom or prudence which the king put to them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom.”  Daniel 1; 20:

My goal in writing the best-selling book, “The Handbook of Horsemanship” is to help anyone who reads the book to become a better horseman and to understand that training a horse is better done by using patience and perfection, not abuse.

Horsemen are exposed to the inclement weather; hot summer heat, stinging sweat in the eyes, and spring mud up to the knees winter. Not to mention, breaking the ice on the water pails, snow falling, and ice storms. But these inconveniences pale compared to the spiritual enlightenment received spending every day with a horse.

Competent trainers have passion in their hearts for horses. Horsemanship is learned in a multitude of fashions, but guidance from an Equestrian Professional is the key to success. For example, I have had the privilege of being instructed by two world hall of fame trainers: Pete Kyle and Lighting Leonard Moore. They taught me the art of patience and perfection, two things that are a constant struggle when handling horses. Below is a literary reference that has given me insight when handling a horse.

In my vast years of training, there was one characteristic that remained consistent with horses, either young or old. Equus is a herd animal, therefore the fight-or-flight instinct is the basis for survival. Training must follow the patterns of natural instincts. When the lessons stray, abuse becomes the foundation. Even though man domesticated Equus around 4000 B.C., there are sixty million years of evolution. Predispositions do not fade overnight.

A DISTANT CALLING BY ANNA ELIZABETH JUDD
A Distant Calling

The darkness of space has captured mankind’s imagination from the beginning of time. Oral traditions carried on by the Greeks and their methodology exposed even more evidence of beings beyond humans on Earth. As early as 5,000 years ago, Henges were built; the largest of which is Stonehenge, used by astronomers to show them key astrological moments. Therefore, the idea of other life similar to humans among the stars is definitely a reality. But…. do they want to be exposed?

In A Distant Calling, the young Daniel Weber lives near The Kennedy Space Center in Florida, along with sister Jill and her parents. His father, Alex Weber, is a high-ranking scientist and designer at NASA within the satellite division. He designed and built a satellite for deep space exploration called Sweeper, launched in 2008. The mission was designed to explore the Alpha Centauri galaxy. Top priority; to ascertain if life exists.

Daniel is a 10-grade student at Liton High School. One of his passions was developed due to the unique dreams he experiences. The only way Daniel could help make sense of his visions was to draw them. Most of the art are representations of the other worlds he sees. Since Daniel has a love of space travel as his father, he joins Alex at NASA on many occasions. On the annual art show, Daniel enters two of his pieces and wins the competition. However, the artwork comes into play when messages and warnings are transmitted through Daniel’s dreams.

As the satellite closes on the Alpha Centauri Solar System, the messages Daniel has received in his dreams come to life, when Sweeper returns images from Alpha Proxima, a planet in the solar system. Earth’s future is heading into peril.

“Glaring, streaking colored ribbons that never seem to stop. The Aurora Borealis, billions of years old, it dances through the sky. It seems like the performance is only for our eyes. Little do we know that all our solar systems get the same show.” —- from the author.

When Spirits Speak: Messages for Spirit Children

One, two, three, four, five, six… “Hello,” a small voice called.

“Writer, I’m Aaron. Can you hear me?” I glanced around but saw no one — just the usual morning fog hugging the coastline.

“Yes, I can hear you,” I said, realizing where the small voice had come from.

From first hearing the voices of children from the World of Spirit, Jeri Tory Conklin brings forth sensitive and eloquent conversations with spirit children who wish to console, teach, and lead others who have yet to cross the rainbow bridge. These are their stories.
